TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Why use organically grown cotton?

To preserve the durability, performance and softness of our products during your hikes, we use organically grown cotton. It is grown without chemical fertilisers, pesticides or GMO, reducing the risk of ground or water pollution. The main fabric of the skirt panels contains 79% organic cotton.

Our commitment to less water consumption through the “Dry Dyed” process

For this dyeing process, little water is used and it is carried out by a pressurised gas machine to set the colour directly on the fabric.
We have used this dyeing technique for the skort, which will gradually replaced the skort's recycled polyester, as this technique has less of an environmental impact.

WHY CHOOSE RECYCLED POLYESTER?

By recycling plastic bottles or second-hand textiles to produce our polyester, we have reduced the consumption of oil-based resources while preserving the quality and performance of the material during your hikes.
The inner waistband is made from 83% recycled polyester.

Pocket design

Two pockets are located on both sides of the shorts under the skirt panels. Their vertical design keeps your belongings safe and you can store your phone within easy reach. Thanks to the design in a stretch fabric, you can easily gain access to your items.

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This skort was tested and approved in April 2019 by a group of testers during a half-day hike on a coastal path on the island of La Reunion. To fulfil your needs, the Quechua products are tested in the country under the conditions that you will come across during your hikes. Our teams, along with a panel of testers (made up of partners, ambassadors and customers), test the products throughout their development.
