Ballistic coefficient explained
The ballistic coefficient is a numerical value that characterises the ability of a projectile to maintain its speed, and therefore energy, over a distance. The higher the value, the greater the range of the projectile. Coupling this with the speed of the projectile allows you to configure your ballistic calculator to predict the trajectory of the bullet. Please note: as the type of gun has a major impact, you may notice differences in relation to the data provided.
Explanation: twist rate
It is the distance that the projectile travels in order to perform one complete rotation in the grooves of the barrel, for example "1 turn in 10 inches" (1:10 inches).
As every gun has its own twist rate, check the technical data of your model to ensure that the twist rate of the ammunition matches that of your gun.
