What does ‘flex’ mean? Why is it an advantage that it’s adjustable?
The flex determines the stiffness of the boot. The higher the value, the stiffer the outer shell: 120 to 130 is for advanced skiers. The adjustment is set to 120 by default. You can tighten it yourself using the screw and nut supplied with your purchase:
1. Remove the liner
2. Drill a hole in the boot using a 6 mm drill bit
3. Place the nut inside the boot and tighten the screw from the outside
4. Put the liner back on
5. Please leave the screw already in place on the 110
How can I adjust the various adjustments to suit my body shape and improve my comfort?
- The 900 ski boot is fitted with 4 micrometric aluminium buckles: you can adjust the length of the buckle by screwing it in or out.
- The two top toothed straps have several settings that you can adjust to loosen or tighten the fastening. The second toothed strap requires a key to be adjusted; the first can be adjusted simply by pressing the button.
- A wide adjustment strap at the top of the shaft ensures easy and precise fastening.
How can I use the removable spoiler to adjust the angle of my boot?
The spoiler is the plastic part located at the top of your boot, at the back. It is removable: if you add it, you’ll be a bit further forward, and if you remove it, further back. This shifts your position and improves your rear-end responsiveness if you are suddenly pushed backwards - whether due to the terrain, a lack of foresight, or some other reason.
Is the liner thermoformable? Completely, or partly?
Our liners are fully thermoformable, meaning they can be reshaped using warmth to fit the shape of your foot perfectly. It’s a real bonus for enhancing your comfort on the slopes, and therefore your enjoyment throughout the day!
You can do this yourself: Visit our sports tips website or our YouTube channel to find the tutorial.
What is “Mondopoint” sizing?
The size of a ski boot doesn’t translate the same way as for normal shoes: we refer to “Mondopoint” sizing. This is the measurement used by almost all equipment suppliers, which simply corresponds to the size of your feet in centimetres.
What do I do if my ski boots hurt?
Choose a ski sock, high-tech and thin, to avoid pressure points and promote blood circulation. You can also choose a suitable sole by asking for advice from our specialists in store. Finally, if it doesn't help, you can thermoform your own liner.
