How do you apply this lubricant?
First use:
1. Completely remove the factory grease and the other lubricants on your chain using a degreaser.2. Rinse your chain with clean water and dry it.3. Follow the application instructions below and repeat after 5 minutes.Application instructions:
1. Shake the bottle and apply inside the chain while turning the cranks.2. Do not wipe.3. Dry the chain completely before you cycle – Do not degrease again.
How often do you apply this lubricant?
It depends on the riding conditions.In general, when you start hearing a dry chain sound, a new application is already due.In wet and muddy conditions, it will not last as long as in dry and dust-free conditions.Generally, from 30 to 300 miles the chain will remain clean with one application.If you plan to ride in wet conditions, lubricate your chain if possible.
Do I have to degrease my chain before starting to use SQUIRT 'Special Low temperatures' for the first time?
Yes.All Squirt Chain lubricants and the chain wax should be started on a clean chain that's been properly degreased and is dry.The factory grease on a new chain must be removed with an organic solvent if necessary.A second application five minutes after the first is recommended to start with Squirt.
How often should I degrease my chain when I use this lubricant?
Degreaser is not necessary when you use Squirt Special E-Bike.It doesn't form a black build-up like oils that trap dirt and accelerate chain wear.It doesn't stain and stays dry.Brush with a dry brush if necessary and remove the occasional build-up from the rear derailleur pulleys with a toothbrush.
Why does it work?
The requirements of an electric bike are greater than for ordinary bikes.With the constant change in pace, a continuous application of greater rotational force and a higher total average mass, chains can become worn more quickly than on ordinary bikes.Squirt E-Bike lubricant contains the same basic formula as Squirt Chain Lube with high-pressure lubricants added to limit the disproportionate wear of the chain.
Useful to know:
The formula has a layering effect that requires a few applications to work completely into the chain.Only degrease if necessary.
