    A coat of varnish on the wood: why?

    First of all, the tints of the wooden legs may be different from one tripod to another. This is quite normal. Being a natural material, and depending on the time of year the tree is selected, the colour of the wood can alternate from light to slightly dark.
    The feet are then treated with a coat of varnish: the finish is more attractive, it adds a layer of protection and resistance to impacts and it is also easier to maintain.
