    HOW IS THE WATERPROOFING OF THIS PONCHO TESTED?

    This poncho is made from a waterproof coated fabric and has 100% waterproof seams.
    A fabric's waterproofing is determined by measuring its resistance to the pressure exerted by a water column, measured in mm (test based on ISO 811 standard).
    Our material is resistant to the pressure from 5000 mm of water. The finished product's waterproofing is verified by a shower test in our laboratories under 60 litres of water/hour/sqm for two hours, which replicates typical conditions during a downpour.

    WHAT DOES ‘STANDARDISED VISIBILITY’ MEAN?

    This poncho, certified for visibility both day and night (EN 17353 standard), ensures that cyclists are visible when out and about: at night thanks to the reflective strips and during the day thanks to the fluorescent yellow.
    The reflective elements have been carefully positioned to account for the constraints of cycling so that they guarantee visibility at 100 m at night when car headlights are shone on them.

    Which parts of the body does this poncho cover?

    This poncho has a unisex fit and covers you from head to knee. You can wear the helmet over or under the hood. Thanks to its loose fit, you can wear this poncho over your jacket and a 20-litre rucksack. The long sleeves cover your wrists and allow you complete freedom of movement.
    Although the poncho provides good protection for the upper body and thighs, we recommend wearing overtrousers or shoe covers to protect your legs

    MEASURING WATERPROOFING

    Waterproofing is measured in Schmerbers or mmH2O (the pressure exerted by a water column).
    A material with a rating of 10,000 mmH2O can resist 10 metres of water.
    The bigger the number, the more waterproof the fabric.

    How can I restore the fabric’s water-repellent properties?

    3 ways:
    - 15 min in the tumble drier (gentle programme) may reactive the water-repellent treatment it's infused with.
    - Use our washing liquid for waterproof technical clothing and the after-wash water-repellence reactivating agent.
    - Water-repellence reactivator spray."

    We perform 3 tests on our waterproof products: - Waterproof fabric: We use Japanese standard JIS 1092. - Water-repellent treatment: According to ISO 4920 before and after washing, to guarantee of the water-repellent treatment. The water repellency is scored on a scale of 0 to 5 (5 being the best performance). - Waterproof assembly: We follow specific design rules and use a shower test that simulates different intensities of rainfall to check our compliance with these rules.
