    These trousers are designed to keep you warm during winter hikes. The brushed interior traps air, creating natural insulation similar to fur or animal plumage. This process allows you to effectively conserve warmth, while ensuring your comfort.

    Are these pants windproof?

    The dense fabric acts as a barrier against the wind, reducing the feeling of cold. For maximum protection, pair them with a good pair of socks and a suitable jacket.

    Are these trousers waterproof?

    These trousers aren’t waterproof, they don’t have a water-repellant coating, or watertight seams. But they do have a lining in the fabric that prevents the ingress of moisture and snow.

    How is thermal comfort measured?

    The thermal resistance test shows the loss of heat between the body and the outside, indicating the product’s insulating properties. It is carried out on a thermal mannequin, measuring the conservation of body heat.

    What to wear for a hike in the snow

    For snow hiking, apply the 3-layer principle:

    1. A technical base layer (wicks away moisture to keep your skin dry).
    2. A second layer (fleece, pullover) provides warmth and breathability.
    3. A waterproof jacket (protects from snow, wind and rain).

    What is the recommended care for these trousers?

    The care of these hiking trousers is simple. Just turn them inside out and machine wash at 40°C on a normal cycle.

    They can be tumble dried at a low temperature. The maximum temperature is 60°C.

    What is a lined fabric?

    The lining is one of the components of these hiking trousers which make them waterproof. The membrane provides protection against external elements such as the wind, rain and snow.
