What are this scooter's handlebars made from?
6061-T6 aluminium monoblock Y-Bar:
- 6061-T6 aluminium is a versatile aluminium alloy, recognised for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance.Dimensions :630mm (height) X 560mm (width)
External diameter: 34.9 mm
Internal diameter: 28.6 mm
What rules should you follow to look after your scooter?
We recommend checking your scooter before and after each ride to ensure that there is no abnormal play and no cracks or sharp edges. The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and replace them if needed.
You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop.
What are the deck's features?
Deck made from 6061 T6 anodised aluminium:
- 6061-T6 aluminium is an aluminium alloy recognised for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance.
- Anodisation:This is a process that chemically transforms the surface of aluminium by creating a protective layer that promotes resistance to abrasion and corrosion without adding weight. The process is much more effective than painting.
Dimensions: 520mm X 126mm
What is the difference between a freestyle scooter and a "normal" scooter?
The differences between a freestyle scooter and a classic scooter are similar to those between a BMX bike and a city bike.
A freestyle scooter has wider handlebars and smaller wheels (making it easier to handle). Its weight is also different (it is lighter) and it is more manoeuvrable. Since the aim is to do tricks, the handlebars can do a full turn, for example.
Freestyle scooters are also more rigid and sturdy.
What type of fork does this scooter have?
6061-T6 forged aluminium fork.
6061-T6 aluminium is an alloy renowned for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. Here, the aluminium has been forged to make it denser and provide even greater tensile strength and fatigue resistance.
The fork is compatible with wheels up to 110 m in diameter and 24 mm thick.
The spacers, which relieve the pressure exerted on the bearings, are integrated into the fork.
What type of brake is used on this product?
This is a "flex brake" designed to return to its original shape after each squeeze. Compared to a spring brake, it reduces vibrations, wears the wheel rubber less, and is much lighter. However, the braking power will be slightly reduced.
Freestyle scooters are not designed for high speeds. The brakes are designed for slowing down, not for emergency or prolonged braking.
Compression System
‘Mini’ HIC system:Hidden internal compression.
The choice of the Mini HIC system on this scooter is no coincidence. It uses an internal compression wedge and bolt to eliminate any play between the fork and headset, just like the standard HIC.However, it's specially designed for thinner forks (standard diameter), enabling the use of a lighter handlebar without compromising strength.
What size are the wheels?
The wheels are 110 mm with a 24 mm tread, the core is made of aluminium and the ‘high rebound’ PU rubber has a hardness of 88a.
Supplied with long-lasting ABEC 7 (608Z ABEC-7 NMB) bearings.
What type of collar clamp is used?
2-screw collar clamp made from 6061 T6 aluminium.
