This jacket's comfort features
For your comfort, we have provided 2 zipped pockets on the sides of the jacket, and another on the chest. Ideal for carrying your mobile! We have also added a two-way zip to offer greater freedom of movement when sitting or crouching.
The jacket adapts to your body shape!
The cut of this jacket is very feminine. To adapt it to all body types, we have added a drawcord to adjust the waist. You can also tighten the back of the hood as you wish. The cuffs can be unfolded to lengthen the sleeves.
How waterproof is it?
This jacket is perfect in case of brief showers while you are hiking. It keeps you dry when the skies suddenly open up, thanks to its 5,000 Schmerber waterproof fabric and the assembly of the various parts, which are stitched and then sealed. Tested in our "Decathlon shower", it can withstand 6mm of rain in 1 hour.
What are Schmerbers?
Schmerbers measures the waterproofing ability of a fabric. The higher the number, the drier you stay. Our jacket delivers 5,000 Schmerbers: it’s resistant to the pressure exerted by a 5m column of water! In practical terms, it protects you from 60L/sqm/h of rain for 1 hour.
How can I maintain the waterproofing?
2 simple methods to restore the water-repellent properties of your jacket:
- Tumble dry on a synthetic cycle for 15min
- Hairdryer: 2 passes at a distance of 20cm
Repeat every 3 washes (thorough rinsing is essential) or 10 rainy outings.

TESTS AND WARRANTY
Test product
Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute-Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc.) and outdoor sports enthusiasts, to test our products on natural terrain. Our range of waterproof jackets and over trousers also undergoes a shower test in our climatic chamber at our Decathlon Sportslab laboratory near Lille.

This jacket was tested and approved in May 2024 by a group of testers on a rainy day’s hike by Lake Annecy, Haute-Savoie. In order to meet your requirements, Quechua products are tested in the wild in the conditions you encounter during your hikes. Our teams, as well as a tester panel (made up of partners, ambassadors and customers) test products throughout their development until they go to market.
