RCR OR RCR-F: HOW TO CHOOSE
The RCR-F Pro has been designed to excel in competitions on rolling to hilly terrain..It is particularly effective on trails with under 1,500 m of positive gradient over 100 km, with average speeds of 35 to 50 km/h.
The RCR Pro has been designed to exceed expectations on hilly to mountainous terrain. It is therefore ideal for trails with more than 1,500 m of positive gradient over 100 km, with average speeds of 25 to 35 km/h.
THE STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN:AERODYNAMICS
The RCR-F frame is the result of thorough work on aerodynamics, carried out with our partner and aerodynamic optimisation expert, Swiss Side.
With one purpose in mind: to design the fastest road bike in the pack!
After CFD simulations and wind-tunnel tests, the final contours have been tested in the field by our professional athletes.
The result: the RCR-F is 13 watts faster than the RCR at 45 km/h.
THE STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN: STIFFNESS AND PERFORMANCE
The second aspect of its development is the stiffness, with the aim of meeting the needs of the most demanding racers and maximising performance.
To do this, a Super High Modulus carbon layup was designed with 517 plies, made exclusively from high-end carbon fibres.
The RCR-F is 7% stiffer at the front than the RCR, which makes it especially more effective in fast phases like attacks or sprints.
RCR-F PRO FRAME/FORK
The RCR-F Pro frame and fork have been designed for fast riding on rolling to hilly terrain.
The Super High Modulus layup is made from exceptional fibres, offering maximum performance combined with excellent stability at high speed.
This frame has been co-developed with the World Tour Decathlon Ag2r La Mondiale team and is used on the longest routes of the UCI circuit.
Gross frame weight: 1,010 g (Size M)
Gross fork weight: 420 g

Continental Aero 111 TLR 26 section front tyre
We advise you to change your tyres to tubeless with the tubeless valve and preventive liquid supplied with the bike.
Tubeless is more comfortable and more efficient, and the tyres can self-repair when you get small punctures.
Of course, you should always carry an inner tube in your repair kit, just in case your tyre gets a slightly bigger puncture.

CHOOSING YOUR SIZE
The RCR-F is available in sizes XS to XL.
See the geometry information and user size correspondence in the product photos.
Be sure to know your measurements to make the right choice of frame and perfectly adjust your three support points to fully enjoy the RCR-F.
If possible, it is advisable to do a bike fitting before purchasing.
Drive train maintenance
We want to draw your attention to the need for regular drive train maintenance, particularly if you're riding in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads).
Regular maintenance helps your drive train to last longer.
We recommend the use of a bike maintenance and cleaning kit: 8751194.
Regular chain inspections are essential. You can use a chain wear indicator, reference: 8901475
Lifespan of a drive train
When buying a bike, it's important to take into account the cost of servicing it when choosing the drive train.
The figures below are averages given as an indication and may vary depending on the care you take of your drive train.
The average lifespan of a well-maintained chain is 5,000 km.
The average lifespan of a cassette is 10,000-12,000 km.
A badly maintained chain can cause the chain to jump, which could damage the frame.
Hydraulic brake maintenance
Hydraulic brakes function using a closed circuit between the brake lever and the caliper.
There is a hose to maintain the seal.
With time, you'll see a normal loss of pressure in your hoses, leading to a loss of braking efficiency. When your brake guard is too soft or you reach the end of the handlebars, you need to bleed your system. This requires specific tools and knowledge.
Warning and adjustment
Please note: never squeeze the brakes without a wheel being attached, as you could get the brake pads stuck together.
If the rotor is touching the pads, here's how to realign the wheel and caliper:
- Loosen the brake caliper
- Brake hard and tighten the caliper at the same time
- If the problem persists, go to the nearest store.
GUARANTEE
5 years for frame and fork.
